Similar to an article posted last year, here’s another company that has taken the leap to unassigned seating or activity-based working as project architect Wilkinson has termed it. One of the main employee concerns was where people were going to keep their personal belongings such as photos. Typically when we design new offices spaces, clean desk policies are a company mandate to keep the new beautiful design as the feature. I think the point made that employees decorations were in response to their old, ugly offices is well made and that a bright new space has less call for added adornment. The new offices also act as a more appropriate back drop to host clients. In general this article hails the flexibility of choosing your working environment based on your mood that day which I still find appealing.
