Environmentally-aware design has become an essential Client requirement for all of our projects. X-Design's approach to sustainable planning aims to apply a holistic view of the design and construction process, providing strategic green solutions that maximize resource use and have little or no affect on the budget.

We believe that every project we do can be "green", no matter what the schedule or budget. It is just the right thing to do. Our team includes fully accredited LEED AP designers with a multiude of green projects under their belt.

We feel that a truly "green" strategy needs to incorporate the following critical analysis and planning elements;

Strategic Planning: It all begins with a great strategic plan. Planning the possible application of time, space, and resources has the most impact on the overall environment then all other planning phases combined.

Selection & Specification: Much as we apply aesthetic, budget, and schedule filters to the products we specify, we also apply a "green" filter. This ensures that any product or finish meets truly rigorous standards of environmental impact and quality.

Procurement Management: Applying a diligent supply chain management strategy makes sure that we know how and where every product is made. Also maximizing the reuse potential of furniture and construction products leaves tonnes of materials out of our local land-fills.

Quality Control: Our job does not stop at the point the plan is on paper. Our team is on-site to ensure procedures and the construction details are being built to the exacting specifications and all trades are participating in creating the healthiest most responsible space possible.
